Boosters Meeting: Baseball Season is just around the corner and the Baseball Boosters would like to invite everyone to attend the monthly meetings. We welcome your input as we try to make Trojan Baseball the best that it can be. The next meeting will be Wednesday, April 19th, at 6:30pm in Coach Reynolds Room. (Across the hall from the Library) Enter at the West side of the high school. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Spring Field Maintenance Day: Field Maintenance Day will be Saturday, March 18th beginning at 10:00am. We need all players and as many parents as possible to get the fields ready. There are many tasks to be completed. The new Batting Cage (Turtle) has arrived and will need to be assembled. Wind Screens need to be lowered and secured with cable ties. Press Box and Dugouts need to be swept. Leaves need to be raked from around the fences. Please bring side cutters (for cable ties), brooms, rakes, Edgers and leaf blowers. A wheel barrow would be helpful also.

Tryouts and Mandatory Parent Meeting: Tryouts begin March 13th and end on March 15th with notification at the end of that day. There is a mandatory parent/player meeting Thursday, March 16th at 6:30pm in the High School Auxiliary Gym. This meeting will last approximately one hour. Please bring $100 (Check or Cash) for Booster fees. These fees go toward pre-game meals for all “Away Games” and various Baseball supplies. All Booster money goes back into the program in various ways. In the past year, the Boosters have purchased the Batting Cage, Practice Balls, Roller Squeegees and Puddle Pillows for water removal. This year, Player Packs will be purchased online for $135. The Player Pack includes several clothing items for the players. If parents wish to purchase Spirit Wear, information will be provided at this meeting for that as well. Spirit Wear will be purchased through the same provider as the Player Pack and ordering will be online similar to EC Football.

Weber’s Florist and Greenhouse: Once again, Weber’s is supporting the EC Baseball Boosters by donating $5 for every $15 gift certificate sold by the players. Gift certificates will be available at the parent meeting on March 16th. A huge THANK YOU to Weber’s for their continued support of EC Baseball!!!

For the Flying Pig Marathon Fundraiser, 40-50 people will be needed. We discussed the need to use busses to take volunteers.
