On a day that saw a lot more sun and a lot less wind then the previous match for the Lady Trojans of East Central, it made things a lot easier as they cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Indians of Milan. Setting the pace was senior Alyssa DeFiglio at 1st Singles with an easy 6-2 6-0 win, followed by Sophomore Sophia Imeroni at 3rd singles with a 6-1 6-1 victory. The young and talented 2nd doubles team of Sophomores Gwen Kern and Morgan Weber showed great team work in winning 6-2 6-0 as well. Junior Abby Ashton had the toughest match as she went 3 sets against a very good Autumn Bowling but was able to wear here opponent down and came back from a set down to win 4-6 6-3 6-1. The only blemish for the Trojans was at one dubs as they lost 5-7 5-7. Malory Owen and Alexia Lamberdines were playing together for the first time and it showed as they had a tough time together. With the win the Trojans remain undefeated at 2-0 and play a tough Notre Dame Academy Thursday April 10 at 4:00 p.m.
