Thursday night the Lady Trojans lost to Springboro Ohio in 2 emotionless sets. We did not show up in the communication aspect of things and it was very obvious. We played point by point and you will never win playing at that pace. We did not push for points nor did we earn them at the net. Defense was better in some areas for Laney Baker covered majority of the court raking in a total of 21 digs.
So far this season we have battled with performing against well disciplined programs. The girls start to shut down, diminish communication, and become individuals. It has been of emphasis this entire season, but from here on out effort, emotion, and heart are what is going to bring this group success, and we will keep working until it consistently shows every single day in practice or a game. ECVB is a program built off tradition and hard work and until the girls see for themselves that the hard work is worth it, and the answer to success, then they will continue to walk through the motions.
ECVB JV is now 12-9 on the season….6-1 in the EIAC…
Next up, Shelbyville at ECHS on October 5th.
