The East Central High School cross country teams traveled to the Columbus North Invitational on Saturday, September 19, facing off against a highly competitive field (Columbus North, Fischer’s, Carmel just to name a few). Both the boys' and girls' Trojan squads put on hard-fought performances to secure a lot of personal records and season best times. In the girls' division, East Central secured a 10th-place team finish. Leading the charge for the Lady Trojans was Lily Gambrel, who crossed the finish line as the team's top performer. Gambrel clocked an impressive time of 20:32 to capture 32nd place overall, setting a strong pace for the rest of her squad. Abram Hiltz delivered a standout performance to lead East Central, matching up against tough competition. Hiltz clocked a time of 17:39 to cross the line as the Trojans' top individual finisher, securing 66th place overall.
